If you want to use the connector for the first time, it is necessary to install it on your computer. This manual explains this in more detail.

  • Open a route from your route list.
  • Click on 'Export' in the upper right corner.

The screen below will be shown. Click on the button corresponding to your operating system to install the connector. 


Installing for Windows

  1. You have clicked on 'Windows' to install the connector. 
  2. You will see 'connectorsetup.mis' at the bottom of your screen as a download. You can also find this set up in your explorer under downloads.
    Click on file 'open'.
  3. You will then see a system pop-up with a security warning. Click the 'execute' button here.
    The installation will start.
  4. A 'set-up wizard' will appear, follow the steps described here. Adjust the settings if desired and click through the installation. You will often end up with a screen in which you have to allow the installation. 

The connector is now installed and can be used to export routes. How to do this can be found in the Manual 'Exporting with the Connector' Windows&macOS.


Installing for macOS

  1. You have clicked on 'macOS' to install the connector
  2. Unpack the downloaded file "connector.mkpg.zip".
  3. Open the extracted file called ‘connector.mpkg’ file to start the OS installation.

  4. (OptionalPossibly the following error might occur: ‘The opening of ‘connector.mpkg’ is blocked because the program is not created by a verified company’, to solve this:

1. Press the following buttons on your keyboard “command”+”space” to open the Spotlight search bar.

2. Search for: “System preferences” and press “enter”. The system preferences menu should now have appeared.

3. Select “Security and privacy” and make sure the “general” tab is active.

4. Click on the log to enable editing.

5. Choose “anywhere”

6. Try installing the connector to your Mac again. The changed settings can always be undone after the installation procedure.
